Minute Roast
This recipe is foolproof. It doesn't matter how much ketchup to brown sugar, the order you put it in or if you use garlic powder. The main thing is to use all ingredients listed. This freezes well and can be prepared weeks in advance.

Ingredients

31/2 lb minute roast
2 medium onions
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup brown sugar
8 tbsp onion soup mix
8 cloves garlic

Directions

Place a sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil in a 9x13 baking pan, or use a roasting pan.
Slice onions, layer half in the pan along with ½ cup ketchup, half of the brown sugar, 4 tbsp of onion soup mix and 4 sliced cloves of garlic.
Place 3-4 pounds of minute roast on top. Place remaining ingredients on top of roast.
Cover tightly with additional aluminum foil. Bake at 350° F. for 3 ½ hours.
Refrigerate until cooled.
When cooled remove meat from sauce. Slice and place in a new pan. Strain sauce over meat. Warm and serve.
